The Avatar Image is a special custom field and a special option within the Ultimate Membership Pro system.
To request the avatar image for your users just go to the UMP Dashboard -> Showcases -> Register Form -> Custom Fields page.
Enable the ihc_avatar field for Register Page and Account Page.
