If your backup process is not starting at all and you can not find any updates into the Logs tab about your Snapshot it may be possible to have your cron disabled into your Server/Website
Just go to System -> Crons page and check your Cron jobs stage. If on the “Last Run” column your cron jobs have a delayed time highlighted on red means your cron is not working.
You should get in touch with your Hosting Provider to enable Cron option on your server.
Keep in mind that WordPress environment and many other plugins uses crons for updates and other services. For a WP Website , Crons are mandatory
